The reason why this succeeded so spectacularly was because of Kreia being quite possibly the most unique and interesting character in all of Star Wars. The Last Jedi movie tried to pull this off, but failed. It was a total deconstruction of Star Wars as a whole. KOTOR 2: The reason why so many people have so much love for this game storywise (including me), over KOTOR 2 is that it was NOT A TRADITIONAL Star Wars story. The only real flaw I would say is that skills like Demolition, Security, Computer Use, Stealth, even Repair aren’t really that useful, let alone needed in an entire play through. An adventure that will never be forgotten and can played from beginning to end AGAIN AND AGAIN. It’s written very well with perfect pacing and great characters (top of the line voice acting too). Overall, there are almost no blind spots with this. The somewhat over-the-top villain, world/galaxy level threat mission, companions that felt very “Star Warsy” (in a good way), and an incredible twist. KOTOR: Storywise, it was more traditional Star Wars. My all time very series and two favorite games…the thing is: the 1st and 2nd game were very different in tone, story and pacing.
