In line with what others have mentioned here and elsewhere, would it be possible for the Mod Manager to have these usability tweaks along the lines of regular basic folders on desktop PCs? With TWW II coming out in September seems like there is a good opportunity to have some tweaks to the Mod Manager. I know mods have made this game's replayability crazy high for me and having a better mod manager would probably help a lot more people (who are lazier than me with their mods haha). I suppose it's out of CA's thoughts right now. Remember they only managed to get permission for mods very shortly before release.Īs to why they have not upgraded since then, I have no idea. I suspect what happened was that they were going to add a new style Mod Manager (as per their example, and it is stated as only an example) but found they couldn't do it in the short time before release so used the one they already had for previous games.

So the question is, why would they go for an inferior design? lolI've just read that announcement and I see what you mean now.

I guess, but the one I linked was in their announcement thread for the support of the mod manager and workshop. CA's mysteries continue. As far as I know the current one is the original and the one you linked is a prospective replacement. I would be interested to know the thought process behind the current design and why it was implemented over the one I linked in the post haha. That vertical design in the picture you had seems much better. It really is hard to see all your mods, even if you only have ~25 or so. Was going to say what we have isn't great but is fine, but your points are actually pretty decent. Is there any hope of getting a new mod manager for Warhammer? If I am alone in this, I will shut up, but from all of the people I play with, no one likes the mod manager in its current state. It was originally linked int he announcement thread hereĪnywaaaay. This would be awesome since you could essentially setup different mods to play different ways depending on either a) the campaign you choose to continue (different mods for different races perhaps) and b) who you play with. There is not way to create mod 'groupings'. Changing mods often is a regular thing but having 20+ mods at any one time while frequently changing them is pretty hard in the current set up.Ģ.

For someone like me with over 1100 hours in the game, I need mods to keep making it a challenge and expanding replayability. It's hard as hell to see all of the mods you have. There are a couple of obvious issues that I have come to see from it such asġ. I love mods, who doesn't? But I don't love the way we use mods with Warhammer.įor over a year now, we have had to struggle with the seriously lacking mod manager provided at launch.
